Get ready for your Christmas bookings – checklist

Get ready for your Christmas bookings – checklist

19 Jun 2018

1.      Get enough crackers and festive decoration. Don’t forget that functional items such as napkins can also be used in a decorative manner. Other decoration can include table runners and candles.

2.      Make sure you have enough plates for your maximum seating capacity. Some plates will have broken this year, so make sure you still have enough for your Christmas bookings. You don’t want to end up in a situation where you have to keep a table waiting for their food just because you don’t have enough plates to go around.

3.      Keep clean. An increased amount of customers will mean heavier use of your facilities and may mean your premises will need more frequent or more intense cleaning.

4.      Prepare for Christmas closure. Don’t forget that many suppliers will close for a while around the holidays, while you may not. Make sure you have enough supplies to last you until normal business hours resume. Definitely do not run out of toilet paper – it’s the basics you often forget.

5.      Plan to do a little extra for customers to get them to return next year. Laughing customers will enjoy the food more, so aim to break the ice between members of a table party early on. Festive selfie kits have become popular in the last few years and they can really make a party unforgettable in a silly, good-natured way. Selfie kits are a good way to encourage fun when you have a booking for a company party of colleagues who may not socialise much normally.

Giving customers silly balloons to blow can also help them relax and have a laugh. Don’t worry about being cheesy. If there ever is a time when cheesy is good, it’s Christmas.

We are very sorry but our selfie kits are so popular they have been already sold out this year. Make sure to get them early next year.
